FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS |

You'll need to preheat the fire for approximately 4 hours. About a wheelbarrow load of wood is all you need for 6 hours of fire.
|
| How long will the fire burn? |
The fire will last between 3 to 4 hours. To cook, you will need a small fire going to keep the heat up and brown the pizzas. |
| How long does it take to cook a pizza? Can you cook more than one at a time? |
A pizza only takes 2 1/2 to 3 minutes to cook and you can cook 7 to 9, 9-inch pizzas at once. |
| Can I cook other foods in the oven? |
Anything you can cook in a regular oven you can cook in a brick oven: bread, chicken, even apple pie! |
| Where can I purchase the paddles and other materials to make the pizzas? |
It should be easy to find the items you need through a simple Internet search. |
| You say the ovens are safe for city use. Are they approved for use within city limits? |
Yes. |
| Do you have a recipe for dough that you can share? |
Here's a good, basic recipe for 30 pizzas that we've used time and time again:
30 cups flour
10 cups lukewarm water
5 tablespoons of salt
11 1/2 tablespoons dried yeast
Put the yeast in the water; stir to activate.
Mix the yeast and water with the rest of the ingredients.
Let the dough rise for about 2 hours. If the dough grows out of the pot, you will need to punch it down.
After 2 hours, the dough will be ready. Take a tennis ball sized piece of dough for a 9 to 12-inch pizza.
